Hysterectomy

I am a 24-year-old female and would like to have a hysterectomy. I am single and do not want to have children. Is there any reason not to have this surgery?
First, you have to understand that this procedure results in permanent sterility. If in future you decide to have children, you are in big shit. My personal feeling is that it is premature to remove the uterus at such a young age. There are many other ways to prevent pregnancy. Unless you have a cancer or sometime like that, there is no reason to have a hysterectomy at this young age. I personally think you need to see a psychiatrist first before you see a surgeon.
Remember also that some of these gynecologists operate like butchers. If you do not believe me, just ask women who have had hysterectomies-serious complications occur all the time.
Finally, if you decide to have this surgery just for sterility, then you will have to come up with at least $10,000-$18,000. No one will pay for it because the problem is in you head and not in the uterus.
