Nerve stimulation for depression

I have had depression for a long time and my doctor recommends the nerve brain stimulation treatment. What do you think?

Your doctor is a first rate fool with an IQ of less than 50. This is a relatively new treatment that involves placement of electrodes into your brain. This electrode is connected to a pacemaker like device that can be programmed to stimulate your nerves. So far, there is little evidence that the treatment works for everyone. Moreover, the surgery has serious complications. You may get rid of your depression temporarily, but you may end up deaf, blind, or a mute.

Finally, the treatment is very expensive and there are no refunds. The treatment can cost upwards of $30,000 and more. If I were you, do not go for this nonsense therapy. It has been tried out for Parkinson disease, OCD, and many other brain disorders. The success rate is very poor.

At the moment, nerve brain stimulation is for suckers who are too stupid to understand that new is not always better.
