I
am weary of using antipsychotics because they cause weight gain. Is there any agent
that does not cause weight gain?
In
general, most centrally acting agents cause weight gain. Among the
antipsychotics, molindone is one of the few, which does not cause weight gain.
The drug is effective for schizophrenia but I believe it is unavailable now.
